3️⃣ - Assign Your Domain To WHM Platform

Assigning a domain to the WebHostMost (WHM) platform can vary depending on your situation. Below are the main scenarios to help you assign your domain correctly.

  • Domain Ownership: Ensure that the domain name you introduce actually exists and belongs to you. If it does not exist or is not under your ownership, it will never be accessible or controllable through WebHostMost.

  • Client Area Domain Management: If you purchase a domain name from WebHostMost, it will be listed in the Client Area under My Domains. While you have control over the nameservers (NS) through the Client Area, it is advised not to change them if you are using the domain with our services.

  • Domain Ownership vs. Service Usage: Purchasing a domain from WebHostMost grants you ownership and control over its nameservers (NS). To use the domain with your hosting plan, you need to assign it to the Web Control Panel as detailed here. If you purchase a domain along with a hosting plan, it will be automatically added to your service plan, allowing you to manage its DNS through the Web Control Panel.

Understand Different Domain Name Scenarios​

1. You Already Have a Domain Name Registered With Another Domain Registrar​

If you already own a domain name registered with another domain registrar, follow these steps:

You must set our nameservers at your domain registrar. Without this step, your domain will not be accessible or usable with our services.

  • Go to your current domain registrar and update the nameservers to point to WebHostMost. You can find our nameservers (NS) here.

2. You Don’t Have a Domain Name Yet​

If you don’t own a domain name, you can purchase one directly from WebHostMost:

  • When you buy a domain from us, our system will automatically assign the correct nameservers (NS). This makes it the simplest option for seamless integration.
  • Your purchased domain will appear in the Client Area under the My Domains section, giving you control over nameservers (NS). However, do not modify the nameservers (NS) from the Client Area if you plan to use the domain within our infrastructure.

3. Use a Free Subdomain by WHM​

WebHostMost offers a forever free subdomain with the extension .freewebhostmost.com:

  • You can obtain this subdomain during the checkout process.
  • If you are on a Pro or Ultra plans, you can assign any availalbe free sbdomain (e.g: anyavailalbedomain.freewebhostmost.com) directly from your Web Control Panel as shown here.
  • Free subdomain option requires no additional setup, as it is already configured with our nameservers and will be instantly available.
