Learn About SSL Certificates & How To Use Them Via The Shared Web Hosting Control Panel

Quick Intro

Web Host Most provides you with a forever free SSL certificate supported by Let's Encrypt. You also have the option to set up an SSL certificate purchased from another provider or directly from us. SSL certificates ensure a secure connection between the server and your browser, encrypting traffic to enhance security and prevent data breaches.

Important To Know Before You Begin

note
  • Automatic Renewal: The Web Server automatically renews the SSL certificate every 59 days.
  • Configuration Options: You can choose the key size and certificate type when requesting a free SSL. However, the server has pre-defined options to meet best practices for security and performance, which we recommend retaining unless you are knowledgeable about the changes you wish to make.
caution

When assigning a new domain name to your Web Control Panel, an SSL certificate is automatically generated. It may take up to 5 minutes for the SSL certificate to be created. Additionally, if you recently changed your domain's NS records, you must wait up to 24 hours for DNS propagation to complete before the SSL certificate can be issued successfully. For more details on DNS management, visit DNS Management.

  1. From your Web Control Panel, navigate to Security Management > SSL Certificates.
